A perfect ski weekend in Andorra

To start the year in a good way, with some action and fresh air, we went on a ski trip to Andorra organised by my company. We left on Friday evening after work and came back yesterday evening. Although it was a short trip, we enjoyed it very much. The ski resort we went to, Grandvalira, is quite big and has many nice slopes. Luckily our legs still remembered the skiing technique, so we could start going down the slopes without any problem. On Sunday it was quite cold and misty, which caused some surprise effect since it was not very clear if the track went up or down. And after the beerbust we had on Saturday night in Andorra la Vella, my body was not so fast in reacting. But I managed to arrive to the bus at the end of the day without any injury... until I slipped on an ice patch on the parking lot!! So in the end I did go home with a nice bruise on my shinbone. But to go home from skiing without any bruises is like not having been skiing at all, they form part of the adventure! :) I am already looking forward to the next ski trip, probably in February, before David has the operation of his shoulder. I will do my best then to fall on a more spectacular place than on the parking lot!
